The Olympic National Park Visitor Center is a primary source for visitor information about the park. It is staffed daily, though hours vary by season. Facilities include an information desk, exhibits, a book store, and public restrooms. Be sure to see one of our films "Mosaic of Diversity" and "The Elwha Undammed: What's A River For?" available for viewing upon request. Kids will want to explore the hands-on activities in the Discovery Room as well.
Also located in this building is the Wilderness Information Center, which issues back-country permits and bear cans for safe food storage, and provides current trail and in-depth backpacking information.
During non-business hours, park maps, general information, and the park’s newspaper - The Bugler - are available on the visitor center’s front porch.
