The Hoh Rainforest is a great place to explore, whether it is your first backpacking trip or you are an experienced mountaineer on your way to climb Mount Olympus. Obtain the required permits at the main Wilderness Information Center in Port Angeles or at the Hoh Visitor Center. The trail is 18 miles long, relatively flat for the first 13 miles and backpackers can camp in designated areas scattered along the way. The rain forest is a unique and enchanting area of the park.
