7. Kalaloch

Kalaloch - meaning "a good place to land" in the Quinault language - is known for its wide sandy beaches.  Visitors to the area will find two campgrounds, a concession-operated lodge, a ranger station with exhibits and an information desk (open daily in summer), a picnic area and self-guided nature trails. Kalaloch is one of the most visited areas in Olympic National Park.  Kalaloch and Ruby Beach are located on the southwest coast of the Olympic Peninsula. They are accessible directly off of Highway 101.
