The Staircase Campground is open year-round, though it may be walk-in only if the road is closed due to weather. It has 49 sites that are $20 per night on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site has a fire ring with a grate and a picnic table. The campground has accessible restrooms, water, animal-proof storage containers and firewood Memorial Day through Labor Day; camping is primitive October through April.
